Purdue was recently named a 2016 ‘Best College Value’ by Kiplinger’s Personal Finance. The ranking highlights Purdue’s excellence and affordability. These traits don’t begin to cover all Purdue has to offer. To share a fuller picture with you, our women engineering student volunteers gave their advice for students looking at colleges. Here are a few nuggets of their wisdom:
“Everyone on campus is very friendly, don’t be afraid to approach your upperclassmen or professors about any questions you have!”
“Come in with an open mind. Engineering has so many possibilities… Purdue is a great place to be. There’s never a dull moment.”
“There are countless organizations on campus, keep an eye out and you’ll be able to find one or more you fit into perfectly.”
“Embrace change! Don’t be afraid of moving to a new place. You will learn to adapt and grow as long as you are willing to do so.”
Purdue offers a unique student experience to everyone. We encourage you to ask students about how you can get involved in areas you find interesting. Ask them what they most enjoy on campus. You may be surprised what you discover!
Stay tuned for our next post on how to get involved as a college student.
