Now that school is back to normal and all Purdue students are getting ready for their last few exams, it’s hard to forget the fun of Spring break. Spring break was an amazing chance for students to de-stress and just relax. In particular, check out below some testimonies of how our amazing women engineers spent their spring breaks.
“I spent Spring Break in Fort Lauderdale, Florida with two of my best friends! We had a fun week going to the beach. We drove all the way down from Indiana, which is an 18-hour drive, and then drove back up at the end of the week. It was my first time in Florida! I loved being in the warm weather. I sure am happy to be back on campus, though!” -Courtney Huddleston FYE ‘20
“Over Spring Break, I went to Chicago with one of my friends who is studying Aeronautical Engineering Technology. We went to the Museum of Science and Industry and had an amazing day that we finished off by going to the top of the Hancock Building to see the city at night. We also went to the Bean and the Field Museum. as well as the Boeing Store because it’s not a vacation without airplanes." -Cassandra McCormack IE ‘19
“Over Spring Break I studied abroad In Italy. It was 1 credit within the School of Chemical Engineering We stayed 4 days in Milan, 1 in Venice, and 1 in Florence. The views were like paintings, something my camera could not capture. I definitely over spent on all of the delicious food and consumer goods” – Madison Sprecher CHE ‘19
So, no matter whether you choose to travel somewhere new or just return home, have fun! It’s never too early to start planning your trip for next year!
